It's Koine Greek. The stuff the Bible and Homer was written in.
It says, "You are a stranger in this place." or literally, "foreigner(feminine) in this place you are"

In response to Elithrion's comment about Greek not using accents, perhaps it's a different dialect of Greek. Maybe Vietnamese Greek?

Nice save! You just conviced a poor old man that you're some kind of E.T. that can construct a house within a second! So much better than telling him you can travel through time! ;)

See, that's what gets me about a lot of science fiction--the deus ex machina used for communications and information. Sure, it helps facilitate the story, but if it actually happened in reality, Jen and this guy would probably not be able to communicate with each other at all. And for that matter, Time machine or not, they might never figure out exactly "when" they are, maybe not even where, although admittedly, a lot would depend upon how the time machine actually works, how the machine manages to quantify and track time.

Ah, but I'm just nitpicking. Waiting with baited breath to see how the story goes...

I don't think Greek uses quite so many accents (or any, for that matter). It's the future after all!
