Okay, I admit it–I went through the archive again because I couldn’t remember when we last saw Maya. What I noticed was how the art has really evolved over such a short period of time.
@ Colin: I’m reminded of Baron Munchausen.
@ macsnafu: Yeah, some links would probably be helpful for the curious: first appearances of Smallenstatur, the knife vendor, and finally Maya. (And regarding the art, thanks for noticing!)
Yes, yes indeed, Maya seems like a normal person, quietly reading a book. But what’s she doing with her LEFT HAND, hmm?? What? What is she doing???

“The Non-Sucky Adventures of Roy M Sloan and Co.” Hey, is it too late to rename the comic?
Also for a second I was really hoping the dean was holding the rat-thing back with a fencing sword.

I guess Roy would be terrible as a comic artist. I mean, being coherent and normal is the COMPLETE opposit of non-suckyness!
Also, is that… Maya the Sousaphone player? :O
Can I have her autograph?
