Actually, this image was made entirely in Photoshop, from pencils (figurative pencils, I guess) to coloring. I could probably spend less time on the inking, though. For backgrounds, I make heavy use of the polygonal lasso and marquee tools, on account of my shaky hands. (They're fairly shaky!) I'd like to dial back the stylization in the future, but them's the shakes for the time being. Well thanks!
